ALICE CULLEN
[/center]
WHATSINANAHER?!:: Her full name? Well, technically, it’s
Mary Alice Brandon Whitlock-Hale Cullen.
But you can call her Alice Cullen.
SPAWNOFINSIDEJOKES:: Uh, some people call her shortie.
HOWOLDAREYOU?:: Ancient. One-hundred-seven.
WHICHWAYDOYOUSWING?:: She’s pretty sure Jazz is a boy.
MAKEITPINKORBLUE?:: ... She’s pretty sure she’s a girl?
BORNANDBREDIN:: Biloxi, Mississippi.
LIVINITUPIN:: Forks, Washington.
WHODOYOURUNWITH?:: Vampires. Of the veg-head variety.
MIRRORMIRROR:: Her hair is black. You know, black black. Ink colored. And short, too. Keeping your hair short, when you roll around with animals, is kind of necessary. (Or so she thought when she first started hunting. Now, of course, it doesn’t grow, so she’s stuck with it. Oh well. she think it’s cute.) The color of her eyes change, depending on how hungry she is. When Alice is full and satisfied, they’re a lovely, light golden. However, when she’s feeling empty, they turn darker than her hair; fathomless pits, like catacombs. It’s all a part of her nature. Also part of her nature is the pale complexion of her skin, like the color of marble. (With the same texture of marble, as well.)
BUILDHERUPBUTTERCUP:: According to her latest measurements, she’s 4 feet, 10 inches tall. And the first person to make a joke will have a well aimed fist collide with their jaw. Seriously, it gets old. It’s a great tribute to her love for her family that she hasn’t eaten them all already. To go along with that, one would think that she didn’t weigh much. But, ah, one must remember what she is. Alice is a lot sturdier than a human, meaning that- despite her small stature- she probably weighs about one hundred and eighty pounds. (Still not a lot, considering the weight of the rest of her family.) Thankfully, she’s very petite, so the anorexic, midget stuff doesn’t look out of place.
BEAUTIFULLYTRAGIC:: Hmmm... how about the fact that she glitter in the sun? Or that she’s whiter than a ghost. Or that her teeth are pointy, and sharper than knives. Take your pick.
SEPERATEDTWIN:: Ashley Greene.
AFEWOFHERFAVORITETHINGS::
+ Jasper Whitlock Hale. He’s her life. And always has been.
+ Her family. Yeah, yeah, she loves the rest of those idiots, too.
+ Blood. Sorry if it’s disturbing, but, eh, vampire here.
+ Her foresight. It comes in handy. And she likes being useful.
+ Shopping. Hello?!? Who wouldn’t enjoy shopping? Seriously.
+ Decorating. She could have a thousand houses, and not be content.
+ Running. There’s something relaxing about it. Unexplainable, really.
+ Sex. And she won’t apologize. If only she could say ‘She’s only human’.
+ Traveling. It’s a good thing Alice has forever. She’s going to need it.
+ Music. All of the Cullens have a thing for music, she think.
HATEIREALLYDONTLIKEYOU::
- Holes in her vision. Though they shouldn’t, they make her feel useless.
- People underestimating her. She’s small, but not weak. Understand that.
- People underestimating Jasper. He can control himself, dammit!
- When certain annoying human girls don’t appreciate her gifts.
- Contacts. Alice understand the occasional need, but they are aggravating.
- Her past. Or, rather, the lack of knowledge that she has about it.
- Mock-fights. She loves the boys. But they don’t know how to not break things.
- Well, fights, in general aren’t really all that fun.
- Bella’s attachment to Jacob. Nothing against the wolf, but... it causes trouble.
- Edward’s mind reading. It’s embarrassing and frustrating.
WHATDOESNTKILLHERMAKESHERSTRONGER::
+ Seeing the future. Despite it’s flaws, it helps her and everyone else.
+ Her cunning. Alice is like a fox. A human-sized, vampire fox. *giggle*
+ And, you know, the whole vampire thing makes her pretty cool.
SHE’SWEAKINTHEKNEESFORYOU::
- Jasper. She would do anything, sacrifice anyone, for him.
- Her short temper. Sometimes, it makes her irrational.
- Unlike most vampires, Alice lacks the self-preservation instinct.
FEELLIKETHERE'SSOHERONEWATCHINGHER::
- Loosing Jasper. Don’t you get it yet? He. Is. Everything.
- I’ll be honest... sometimes, she even scares herself.
- Killing another human. She’s fairly tame now, but, still...
- Her past somehow coming back for her. Like with James.
- That, just when she’s needed most, Alice’s vision will falter.
ADREAMTHAT'SDAILYCOMINGTRUE::
+ Reaching the point that she’s strong enough to turn someone.
+ Digging into her past, and finding even more answers.
+ Creating a language of her own... that’s going to take a while, though.
I'LLKEEPYOUHERDIRTYLITTLESECRET::
- Sometimes, she steals Bella’s clothes and burns them. Just the unbearable ones, though.
(Okay. So almost all of them are unbearable. But, she’s practicing self-restraint.)
- She worries more than anyone that Jasper really will slip up and eat someone.
- One day, when everyone is more stable... she’d like her own coven.
IUSEDTOKNOWYOUSOWELL:: Ever heard the saying “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”? What about “Things are not always what they seem”? “Objects in mirror are closer than they appear”? Well, you catch her drift. Alice prides herself on being one of those people who doesn’t do what people expect them to do. And she think she’s earned the ability to think of herself that way. After all, who among you can honestly say that you know what she’s going to do next? Who, in all the people who know her, would say that they can predict her next move? Not even Jasper, who is more a part of her than she am, knows her that well. Not even Edward, who can hear her every thought. she guess it’s partially because she doesn’t even know herself that well. Just a bushel of surprises, she is. Haha. We’ll let you decide if that’s a good thing or not. Now, aside from being hard to read, She’s a very sneaky little devil. Thanks to her enhanced foreshadowing ability, she has a lot of knowledge that most people are bereft of. Couple that with a natural ability to keep people guessing, and you’ve got never-ending shock when She’s around.
Okay, so, I’d like to think that She’s pretty intelligent. In fact, she has an IQ above the genius levels. But... well... just because She’s a smarty-pants doesn’t mean she has to be all stuck up and arrogant, you know? Which, roughly translated, means that she acts like a toddler half the time. (I can hear the joke about the age matching her height. It’s forming in your head, right at this very moment. Say it out loud, and she will make good on the fist threat from earlier.) She likes to bounce around, and have fun, and do things that are, well, silly. Like spraying Emmet and Rose with silly string, just because they’ll both have hilarious reactions. she also think She’s pretty sweet, all things considered... Okay, maybe not sweet, per say, but NICE, at least. She tries not to take life too seriously. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know when she has to be serious. Like she said, She’s pretty intelligent.
Over the years, Alice has noticed something odd about herself. (Other than all of the obvious oddities, that is.) She is either an incredibly independent person, with codependent habits, or a codependent person, with independent habits. Either way, it’s pretty confusing. She likes to take care of herself, and do things her own way, and not need anyone else to be there to hold her hand while She’s doing it. Very independent. BUT, she also likes knowing that she has a family to back her up when she needs them, the ability to just sit back and let someone else take on the role of leader, and having other people around to keep her ADHD-track mind occupied. Very codependent. Whichever way you choose to look at, she’s got the qualities of both. It’s where and how they make themselves known that matters in the end, she suppose.
So, it would be impossible to describe who she is as a person, to explain her intangible being, without at least mentioning the biggest, most vital part of her life- Jasper Hale. He’s... well, he’s like her other half, she suppose. But it’s something much stronger than she can explain. She’s seen true love, before. In her parents. In Rose and Emmet. In Edward, and Bella. But... they just don’t have what Jazz and her do. And every aspect of her personality? Every little things that makes her who she is? Yeah, totally void where he’s concerned. One minute, she could be prepared to rip someone’s head off- in the literal sense- and all it takes is his soft voice telling her to be calm, and She’s alright. Or, the opposite. She can be in her most docile, complacent state, and the minute something poses a threat to her Jasper, she becomes the horrifying monster that you read of in bad science fiction books about vampires. He is her world. End of story.
MAMAJUSTKILLEDAMAN:: Esme Cullen. She dabbles in different things.
DADDYSITSONTHEFRONTPORCHSWINGIN:: Carlisle Cullen. Doctor.
YOUDRIVEHERCRAZY:: Edward, Rosalie, and Emmett.
I'LLBETHEREFORYOU:: Bella is practically her sister, though she isn’t a vampire... yet.
LOVEWASMADEFORYOUANDHER:: Jasper (<333).
BACKIN99WATCHIN'MOVIESALLTHETIME:: Honestly? Her best memory? Really? Well... she guess... she guess the best memory she has, the one that she will cherish forever, and always hold onto... would be the day that she woke up. Or, the moment, rather, that se sat up, and was a vampire. Not because she was a vampire, really, though the joy she feel over that fact is rather immense as well. But, no. It was because of the vision she had, the moment that her body was able to give it to her. She saw... him. His face, staring down at her with nothing but the purest love and adoration. More than she ever could have asked him for. More than she ever deserved. Yes, her very happiest memory is when she saw Jasper’s face for the first time, in her mind. When she saw his face and knew that this was where she belonged. Wherever he was, that was where she was meant to be.
THISPAINISJUSTTOOREAL:: And wouldn’t it only be logical, then, that the very worst of her memories revolved around Jasper as well? It was on the plane ride to Italy, as she went over all of the options in her mind. What they would do to save her brother, her dearest friend. For a moment, she deeply, deeply, considered calling Jasper and asking him to meet them there. Asking him to fight with them if it came to that. It wasn’t a true decision, she don’t think, but, perhaps, it was strong enough to trigger a change in the future. Because, sitting there, next to Bella, she had the most horrific vision she has ever endured. Alice watched, in her mind’s eye, as Jasper fought beside her in Volterra. Fought bravely, and valiantly... and was, ultimately, cut down. His mangled body drug away to be burned by the Volturi’s loyal servants. It is something that has stayed with her ever since. She cannot handle losing Jasper. Even if it’s only within her own head.
SUMHERRTIMEINNORTHERNMICHIGAN:: Alice is sure she had a human life. In fact, she have proof that at one point in history, she was a human. But this does not change the fact that she does not remember a moment of it. Sure, she has been told plenty. She has been given the explanation for the darkness that she sees when she thinks back to before she awoke. But, that does not make it more real. As far as she is concerned, she came into being when the venom in her veins stopped her heart. Death was, inevitably, her birth.
In truth, she suppose her life began in the future. Or, well, her past, of course. But, her future then... Ugh. The moment the haze lifted, and she was... well, what she was, a new kind of disorientation took over. One that she would, in time, get used to, but that almost incredibly new to her. So different from the visions she experienced while humans, these new premonitions were so... clear. It was as if she was living them, and watching them at once. As if dreaming, but she knew she was dreaming... she don’t know how to explain. But what she saw changed everything that she could have been. First, as you know, she saw him. Jasper. The first thing she can remember seeing in this life. After all the blackness that had surrounded her for so many years, she finally had seen the light, in the form of what she was sure was no less than an angel. Then, she saw them. The family, HER family, the Cullens. she saw their strange way of life, that perhaps was not so strange, because what else did she know? she saw herself falling in with them. she saw herself being loved, in so many different ways, and returning those different kinds of love. she saw perfection, though it did not make sense, and it was a frightening sort of perfection. Everything she wanted, but she didn’t know why she wanted it so badly, because, at this point, remember, it was all that she knew.
Her first order of business was clear- find the angel. He had become a solid part of her, though she didn’t even know his name. The love in which he had shown her, in that instant in her mind, had shaped her, for the rest of eternity. It would always be at her core, the thing that- above all else- made her who she was. It took her... so, so long to find him. Or perhaps it only seemed so long, because every minute she wasn’t with him, was a minute that... she wasn’t really herself. she didn’t even know how she was going to find. Just, followed her feet, somehow knowing that- in the end- we would be brought together. It was simply meant to be so. And, then, her wandering paid off. she took shelter from the rain in a small diner in Philadelphia. Easily, she could have run into the forest before the storm began, but something drew her into the small, cozy human dwelling. (Not the scent of the blood, as one might think, as she was still very weak in her hunger, though she tried hard not to let it get the best of her.) And then, soon after, he was there. Just as if the fates had planned it themselves. she breathed a sigh of relief, walked over, and... well, you know the story.
The time that Jasper and she spent alone, as we searched for the Cullens, was short but blissful. At first, her love was shocking to him. He didn’t understand it, but there were many things about her he did not understand. And, though this was true, he loved her in just the same way, knowing that she was a part of him, as soon as he heard her voice. We loved each other freely, and openly. And it was through this love that she was able to convince him to go to this strange family called the Cullens. He thought their way of living sounded absurd- and she couldn’t help but agree with him, if only a little. But she was determined, because she had seen it. she knew, in the bottom of her soul, that she belonged with them. she belonged as a part of them. Finally, after some time of searching, we found them. They were shocked- to say the very least. Some were even miffed, that she had simply fallen from the sky, demanding to know which room was mine. But, in time, they opened their hearts to both herself, and to her Jasper. We became a part of them. And she knew she had been right.
It wasn’t long- by vampire standards- after we joined the Cullen family that we moved to Forks, Washington. The Cullens had already lived here once before, a long, long time ago. Personally, she didn’t enjoy the place. It was much too mundane. Until she caher into our lives that is. Isabella Swan is, by far, the most interesting person I’ve ever hert. (Possibly the most infuriating, as well.) It was easy to see why Edward fell in love with her. Easy to understand why all of us put our lives on the line when Jahers and Victoria threatened to destroy her. Easy to understand how she suddenly felt like one of us, even if we hadn’t known her for that long. Especially for her. she saw her, in her visions, really joining us one day. As one of the immortal. And then, it had to happen. At her birthday party. A tiny, insignificant little paper cut. Would have gone almost unnoticed in any normal setting. But it was not a normal setting. She was surrounded by vampires, and one of them had a VERY hard time controlling his hunger. Oh, but Jasper hated himself for attacking her! And she tried so hard to comfort him. Tried so hard to make things okay. But this was something that I, little her, could simply patch up.
I left Forks with Jasper, knowing that he wouldn’t be able to bear it here any longer. Not for a while at least. He was too guilt ridden. With Jasper ability to sense emotion, he knew how much Bella and Edward loved each other, could sense how much pain it would have caused if he had succeeded in ending her life. And to know he had almost done this to his brother, to someone that he loved, it was killing him. For months, she followed Jasper wherever he saw fit to lead her. It was the first time in our relationship that the roles had reversed, that she simply let him take her, blindly, through the world, as she eased his pain. she heard of the family moving through way of cell phone calls, and her heart went out to Bella. But she could not leave, to tell her that she was sorry, because her Jasper needed her more. Eventually, when his guilt had stopped being unbearably painful, we rejoined Esme and Carlisle. Of course they took us back with open arms, like the prodigal children. For a while, things were... okay. We were in pain, separated as we were, and we all were riddled with the loss of Bella, who had been like another sibling, and the near-loss of Edward who became increasingly harder to get in touch with. And then, it happened. she saw Bella throwing herself off of a cliff.
There was no way for her to know what was really going on. No way to see that she hadn’t seen suicide, but recreation. And, when she went to Forks, and discovered what was really going on... everything began to spiral. And soon, she found herself on a plane to Italy with Bella, hoping like Hell she could save her brother, and knowing that if she didn’t she was going to die. Bella asked her to call the others and tell them to come. She knew that if we were all there, we had a better chance. But that was ALL it was. Chance. And, even if it meant that Bella, Edward, and herself would survive, she would not put her beloved’s life on the line. We landed in Italy, and, thank God, we managed to get things sorted out. Though, it did put the events in motion that would lead to the fiasco we’re in right now... *grumble, hiss* Anyways, when we got back, and she saw Jasper standing there, completely unharmed, but looking at her like he thought he’d never see her again... she knew I’d done the right thing. He was safe. He didn’t have to carry the memory of the Volturi with him, even. No one would harm him, if she could do anything to prevent it.
A lot has changed between now and then. Victoria and her newborns being dealt with. Edward and Bella FINALLY getting married. And then, our current devastation, with all the world’s bloodsucker’s lining up to take sides in what’s quickly becoming a war. It looks like I’ve become one of the leaders of the Rebellion against the Volturi. Heh. Neat.

Dragon had a sinking, startling, and perhaps not even called for suspicion that Khait was hiding something from him. It wasn’t an huge, over-blown, she’s-going-to-die-in-seven-days-cause-she-watched-that-lame-ass-movie feeling. (Had it been a feeling like that, mind you, he would have lost his mind a while ago. Luckily, he still seems to have some strand of intelligence left.) But, rather, a nagging, insistent suspicion. He couldn’t get the feeling out of his head, try as he might to convince himself that if it were anything important, Khait would tell him. And if she was keeping something from him, it wasn’t anything important, and she probably just didn’t want to set him off. But, then again, anything that would set him off had to be a big deal, right? Right. Well, no. Everything pretty much set him off. So, yes. She was only trying not to set him off, but it was no big deal, so he shouldn’t worry about it, and Just forget that the mistrust had ever been placed into his brain. Besides, Khait really did not deserve that sort of thing. Him not trusting her? Pfft. He could trust her with anything. He did trust her with everything. Which was just more proof that whatever he was worrying about need not be worried over.
Anyone out there buying it? Yeah, he’s not either.
Putting down the weights he was lifting, he signaled to Sebastian and Phear that he was done for the day, and head out of the gym, and up the stairs, towards his room. Now that his thoughts had floated to Khait, the bonding scent was practically pounding out of his skin, making him smell something like a bakery. Which was pretty cool. Bakery’s smelled good. Especially the ones in Tuscany. Dragon added Tuscany to the mental list of places that he wanted to take the baby when it was born. So far, the list included two places in Caldwell, six places in New York, twenty-one places in the United States, and thirty-six places outside of the United States. Man, that was going to be one busy infant. And, of course, his shellan would be coming along, so the ordeal would be that much more enjoyable. One big happy family, traveling the globe on the off days, needing only each other because who else did they have? It was a nice picture. But he was sure it wouldn’t be as nice as he imagined. After all, he was a Brother now. And they had a duty to the vampire race. A duty that didn’t involve prancing around the world for shits and giggles. With a sigh, he opened the door to his bedroom, expecting to find Khait. And, of course, she wasn’t there.
“CHARLES!” Dragon bellowed down the stairs, referring to one of the doggen that he was particularly fond of. A wrinkled old man with a suit and a top-hat appeared around the corner. “Yes, sire?” Sire. Okay, he had to take a minute to grin, even though he was somewhat freaking out about his missing wife. “Where’s Khait?” The man straightened his tie. “I believe she went to the nightclub, Screamers, sire.” Dragon blinked, and shooed the doggen away. Screamers. Why the Hell would she go to… Dragon sighed. Okay. Khait knew how he felt about her going to nightclubs. Especially in her state. But, on the bright side, she hadn’t gone to ZeroSum, so even if something happened to her, she’d be able to defend herself… Oh, fuck that. The idea of something happening to Khait, even if she would be able to protect herself from any idiotic human in the world, the thought of someone wanting to put their hands on her was enough to set him off. With her blood in his veins, he was able to sense just where her heart-beat was. And- without bothering to put on a shirt, or take precaution that someone might see him- the vampire dematerialized to her side. Yeah, he’s the real inconspicuous type.
When his eyes fell on her, he couldn’t stop the smile that spread out over his features. She just did that to him. And he wouldn’t have traded the feelings he got when he looked at her for anything in the world. Leaning forward he kissed her lips, and then each side of her neck, over the veins. “Hello, nalla.” He whispered against her skin, before pulling back. Now that he was in the club, he realized how badly his stood out. On his body he wore black yoga pants, and sneakers. But, hey. The scars on his back, the tattoo on his pelvis, and his overall ‘I’m going to kill you and your mother’ look made him fit in a bit more. But his mind was more-so on the clothes that Khait was wearing. Once more, he leaned in to whisper in her ear. “You know, I adore your legs. But you’re never wearing that skirt again in public, love.” Though, she probably would. If only to prove that what he said didn’t mean shit to her.
