In this coven, translated to 'the light coven', there are two males and three females. They travel so they aren't as well known and even though they are larger even then the covens, they don't stay or settle. Until now. They don't have an alliance to the Cullens or the Volturi, they haven't decided. A few of them wish to be on the side of the Volturi simply because they don't want to be on the loosing end but they won't go against the majority rule. The names and playbys are:

( m ) Iollan - (UL-an) "one who worships a different god." - Ian Somerhalder

( f ) Claudia - (claw-DEE-uh) - Darla Baker

And their ages, according to the order of the listed names:

- turned at twenty, actually about 240 years old
- turned at twenty two, actually about 210 years old
- turned at twenty three, actually about 300 years old
- turned at twenty five, actually about 200 years old
- turned at eighteen, actually about 170 years old
[/ul]Iollan turned Caoimhe and they started the coven.
They were joined by Claudia whose mate had been killed and so she was alone and rather in need of a family of sorts. She is also a little off balance, as before she was turned, she was tortured to the point of near madness. ( Think Drusilla off of Buffy, but not quite as crazy, okay?)

Róise and her brother for all intesvie purposes, Etienne joined later on and Etienne fell in love with Claudia. Róise is Etienne's sire and she turned him when he was very ill and without her, he would have died. She had hoped intially that he would be her mate, but after the change there wasn't that kind of love there and she got over it. However, she is still sometimes jealous of Claudia because Etienne wanted her.

Claudia has a "power". Like Alice she could see things in her human life and as her creator made her almost insane before she was turned, she can now see things that will happen, and that have happened. This only happens if she touches people or something they are connected strongly with.

Róise, depending on how weak your mind is, is able to alter the memory of the person she chooses, to make them feel things and remember things that never happened, or enhance a memory that truly did happen. She could drive someone crazy, theoretically, by making them remember something to devestating they would break. She isn't sadistic however and like Jasper, she uses her power to try and make people remember good things. Her powers probably wouldn't work as well on Edward or Alice or Jasper seeing as they have control of their own mind and they know how to defend their mind. It would still work, but they could be taught to fight it off. You can see how this would be dangerous if she wanted to hurt Edward using the memory of a dying Bella etc. This would probably not be effective on Bella, however. It would work to an extent on the wolves but if they were in wolf form, she would effect them all at once through their pack connection.

Iollan is brilliant and he doesn't forget things. Ever. He can read a book and not forget a single word and he remembers faces instantly. He can also read peoples intent, he can get a sense of whether they are truly a threat, if they are lying etc. He can't do anything else, however. Etienne also has no exceptional powers.

The Volturi want these vampires on their side: They are large in number and powerful. Róise has more darkness in her then they others and she is the most easily drawn to them. Etienne feels compelled to follow her even though he doesn't agree and if he followed her, Claudia would go with him. Its up to the Cullens to help presuade them to choose which side, because a coven that large could really tip the scales in someones favor.


I, Megan, do want some say in the faces because I want them to look good together, the coven as a whole. I will be playing someone, of course, probably one of the females. Yes, there are irish parts of the coven as made obvious by the names, but they don't have to all have red hair or whatever. I wouldn't mind seeing one of the males being played by Kyle Schmid, aka Henry Fitzroy of Blood Ties, who is here. Or maybe Gaspard. I think she would be a good Caoimhe. And this girl for Roise, perhaps. They are also BLOOD DRINKERS but they havn't killed living in a very long time.

They walk the fine line between feeding off humans and not taking enough to kill them which could be kind of hard for the Cullens because it would be tempting to consider that way of life. They would probably applaud their self control because they can bite and drink and yet stop with enough will power so they do not kill.

you guys i'm not sure i want my people to be canons? like i don't know they are my babies, my characters and i don't want people messing them up or anything like i am being picky about who plays them and i don't know that i want my plot being used so someone else can come to our site and see it and use it. i'm so glad you guys like this so much but i mean i'm not even an admin here you know and i am kind of scared to let my babies into the big bad world so soon. you guys are being so wonderful and helpful but i need you all to slow down before i have a panic attack.

okay guys, updated the pbs and i think i will be posting the beginning of my fan fic so you can all see what they are like personality wise.

here is a bit on them in case i dont get around to posting my fic.

roise: she is sarcastic and curt with people she doesn't know. she is protective of claudia but at the same time, claudias oddities annoy her most of the time. she is most able to sympathize with rose (big surprise) but she is also all about surviving and being on the winning team even if the winning team are the 'bad guys'. truthfully, she does want what is best for her family and she does love them deeply. she finds it hard to be around humans for long periods of time when she is thirsty and she slips up now and again.

etienne: etienne was ill when he was turned. he was on the verge of death and roise saved him hoping he would fall in love with her and be to her was caoimhe was to iollan. it didn't work and etienne fell in love with claudia. he is very protective of her and as much as he loves his family, he would pretty much put them in danger to save claudia. he is quiet and i guess you could call it brooding. when he is around claudia he is all smiles and shit but otherwise he is kind of withdrawn. like jasper is with alice, kind of. he kind of has that smirk on his face that makes people wonder what he is thinking about. he is like roise in the sense that he would give up this ideal civil life style (not as much as the cullens but you know) in order to save himself or claudia.

claudia: claudia is the most childlike and co-dependant of the coven. when she was a child, she was abandoned and adopted by a puritan woman. when her many siblings fell ill and she did not, her 'mother' when into a crazed rage and blamed claudia, saying she was a witch. she attempted to drown claudia in the river and while she failed, the river swept claudia away. she never returned. she was eight years old. after that, she wandered, finding her way to a city where she was adopted into an orphanage. no one knew who she was so no one asked questions about the frail looking child with no name or parents. when she was about eleven, she began to have visions, and the headmistress locked her in the cellar and did all sorts of things to try and purify her soul. this continued on until she was eighteen and which point, she fled and in a pill enduced stupor, was found and turned by a man who became her mate and travelled with her until his sudden death. she can't remember much about being human or even much about her first mate, only that she loved him and depended on him and that without him she wandered lost until she found etienne. he worked with her, taught her how to harness her gift and fell in love with her. he assumed the role of lover, protector and mate.

caoimhe : she was turned by iollan and they started the coven together. she is very gentle and loving but she is also dangerously protective of her children. she is a skilled hunter but like iollan she uses compulsion and her charms to bring her food to her and she doesn't like to fight unless there is no other choice. however, if someone she cared about was in danger, she would fight without hesitation. she is the most motherly of the coven and iollan counts on her greatly. she loves her family but she craves being human and she is somewhat quietly depressed that she can never have children of her own. she is instantly protective of bella simply because she was like bella growing up but even worse:
she was pretty and clumsy and she took care of her father and siblings when her mother died. she was a mother before she was a daughter and she always put others first. she never really saw herself cleary, asd edward puts it, until iollan and she feels a connection with bella she can't really explain. she is witty and sharp tongued in the most playful way and she looks back on her human days wistfully.


iollan: iollan fell in love with caoimhe and they were married. he turned her on their wedding night and of course, bella would find this devastatingly romantic. he was a writer, a poet and his family wasn't wealthy. his sire died, killed by the volturi for some reason he never found out, and he was let go because he was young but experience enough to take care of himself. he was offered a place with aro and the others but he hated them for killing his sire and for the way they killed humans and he declined. he is studious, calm, patient, and yet he is like a child in a candy store when he is around the cullens. to him, they are this enigma and he spends most of his time learning about them. he admires carlisle and the way the cullens are able to be the closest thing to human their kind can be.
